Dorothy June Weber, 78, of Ben Hur Nursing Home died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Culver Hospital Emergency Ward.  She had lived at Ben Hur for the past three years.  Prior to that she lived at Carmen Nursing Home for seven years.  Mrs. Weber had been employed as a bookkeeper for Jackson-Weber Farm Management beginning in 1951. She retired in 1976. She was a member of the former Old Kentucky Baptist Church west of Veedersburg. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1926.

She was born June 20, 1908, near Wingate, to Alva L. and Maude Blackford Fine. She married Gordon Dice Weber on May 4, 1929 at Veedersburg. He died June 10, 1959.  Surviving are a son, Leon of New Market; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Deloris) Crewes of Silver Spring, Md and Mrs. Don (Marilyn) Bruce of St. Joseph, Ill; two brothers, Jesse of Lafayette and Raymond of New Ross; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Two sisters are deceased.

Services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. Jay Morrison officiating.  Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. The family requests memorials be made to the Leukemia Society at the funeral home - kbz
